Drabble (exactly 100 words) for my Drabble Meme (still taking requests, btw).

Written for [ profile] sherlock2040 who requested Sherlock Holmes/John Watson - prompt: 'penguin', 'marshmallow' and 'sheep'

“Of course, the penguin gave him away.”

“Now I know you’re making this up, Holmes. There is no way there was a penguin in the sheep field.”

“Watson, have some faith. The penguin had escaped and run wild.”

“Don’t you mean waddled wild? Really Holmes.”

“Why would I fabricate my tale?”

“To make me crazed?”

“If that was my goal, Watson, I would do that thing with my tongue.”

“Promises, promises. You—mmmm. Oh yes, do that thing with your tongue again.”

“You taste like marshmallow.”

“Good. Come here and have desert.”

“What a splendid idea, dear fellow.”

This is hilarious in its bizarreness, and quite sexy in the middle there. I think it's entirely possible I'm madly in love with it :)

Yay! There's nothing like a bit of bizarreness to make the world a better place. But I can so see Holmes chasing after a penguin that's it is almost scary.

Is it bad that my brain came up with a context for this?

See, Holmes and Watson are in Australia, where an eccentric sheep farmer believes that extraterrestrials are plotting to steal his flock. Turns out that some unknown mad scientist is using a mind control device on the coastal penguin populations to make them march inland and...I don't know, practice for when he takes over the world.

This sounds like a bad radio play from the '40's, in which case, the villain is Moriarty and he'll try to kidnap Watson or kill Holmes an an embarrassingly cheesy way.

You know, that's so filled with awesomeness that it should really be written (and made into a bad radio play). Now I shall have this idea running through my head all day (or more likely waddling as I can see the penguins on the move.... yep, penguins, the new weapon of mass destruction and world domination).

Glad you liked it, since you're the evil genius who's responsible for it! Penguins FTW!
