Sorry! You know, I tried to come up with a different scenario for the final kiss, but this is what I kept coming back to. I guess it was the idea that -- no matter what -- they were always there for each other, even if the worst of times. I think there is angst in life, but hope too, and love and support, and that's what I wanted to convey. (Or maybe I just have too much RL angst going on right and melancholia just crept in).
