Earthquake

Well, that was interesting.

I just felt what appears to have been a 6.9 earthquake in Baja California, Mexico, which is a few hundred miles from Los Angeles. It was just gently rolling here, but it went on for quite some time and my building just kept going back and forth, gently. My dog ran to the door and wanted to get out. My one cat looked grumpy (although he always looks grumpy). My other cat slept through it. Yeah, they're great predictors of quakes.

Hope that wasn't a precursor for an even bigger quake. *crosses fingers*

ETA: It looks like it's been upgraded to a 7.2 quake. That explains why I felt it so far away.

Thanks. I'm okay. We were pretty far away. But it was... interesting.

*hugs back*

Not even a shiver here in the desert. Glad you're all right.

Glad to hear that. I mean, it wasn't bad here, but you could tell it was bad somewhere because it just kept going. *hugs*

Wow, that's scary. I hope everything is going to be okay in your part of the world. *hugs*

Me too! It wasn't bad here, but... let's hope it stays that way. It's so odd know that the solid earth beneath you isn't really all that solid at all.

*hugs back*

*hugs* ♥ :( I read about that! :( SO scary and sad! :(

*hugs back* Everything is okay where I am (I'm fairly far away from the epicenter), but it's a bit nerve-wracking when the earth moves. Ah, the price of living in perfect weather.

unrelatedly, i am slowly working my way through your SH fic (slowness due to stupid government related archiving... boo), but rather than squee upon every single one i'm going to giant squee right here, and then add extras when things make me so beyond happy that i cannot physically contain it.

you = awesome.

Thank you! I'm so happy you're enjoying the fics. Some of them are silly, some are sad, but Holmes and Watson really do rock.

Those damn plot bunnies are coming up with ideas for a CM and SH crossover (with H/R and H/W, of course). So far it involves mad scientists in London, an explosion across time, and Jack the Ripper.... Maybe I should just write it as a crack!fic.

i fully encourage the writing of this fic, even if it is written as a crack-fic (bc jack the ripper? that shit would be crazy awesome). i'll even like, send you cookies. and happy thoughts.

also, can you imagine holmes meeting reid? i can so totally see holmes being completely fascinated with him and then like, trying to seduce him for observational purposes.

it has so much potential.
