And yeah, Hotch was being a bit stupid here. Although, in his defense, (since this is part of my "Five Dinners" universe), he does come around in a few months and approach Spencer again. And he was definitely going through a Very Angsty Time himself. (although one of the things I loved about this episode was his "boy band" remark to Reid, if only that it shows Hotch beginning to heal enough to make snarky comments again).
