New Fic: Seven More Days, Chapter One
Oct. 8th, 2005 10:58 pmHey everyone,
So
arrmaitee and I have been writing slash parodies again. Woo hoo!
Check out the first chapter of Seven More Days, the sequel to Seven Days. In the first fic, a parody of the film The Ring, virginal Draco Malfoy watches a mysterious raunchy homemade video, and then receives an owl indicating that he will be “deflowered in seven days,” unless he can first uncover the video’s sordid secrets.
In this sequel, a parody of The Ring Two, Draco and Harry run off to the countryside to hide from the mystery man who wants to plunder Draco’s precious chamber. But safety is fleeting, as Draco soon finds Harry becoming more and more like the mystery man himself.

How cool is this? One of my fics, A Cry in the Dark, has been translated into French by Miss Zabini. Check it out. I feel pretty amazed (and honored) that somebody would actually take the time to translate something that I wrote.
Also, check out my new Snape mood theme, created by
_noesumeragi_. I spent several hours yesterday getting these up and running, thus proving I have no life. I think they look pretty cool and they complete the Snape theme for my LJ. (And yes, I probably do need help. Can’t you just see that support meeting? “Hi, I’m Daylyn and I’m a Snape-a-holic.” *shudders*) Nonetheless,
_noesumeragi_ did a great job finding pictures that fit the moods, and deserves credit for all the hard work.

A Cry in the Dark

Daylyn
Draco Malfoy prowled the Forbidden Forest, alone.
His vampire skills were honed for the hunt. Draco knew that soon his hunger would be insatiable, his thirst for blood intense. He was searching for someone to take, to own, to bleed. To kill.
And then he sensed it. A cry in the dark. A shriek of pure pain and torment, of forlorn despair. Draco recognized this cry; he’d heard it before. He knew of one who called out in desperate anguish; he knew whose soul longed for death.
Draco moved toward the tortured cry, his footsteps silent. On the edge of the Forbidden Forest, under the bleached light of the moon, he saw his quarry at the edge of the lake. Harry Potter.
Harry sat listlessly, watching the ripples on the water. Draco silently approached. “Thinking of drowning yourself, Potter?” he asked, standing just behind Harry. “How terribly melodramatic.”
Harry leapt up, his wand held at the ready. “Malfoy,” he said, his eyes widening in surprise and recognition. A few feet separated the wizard from the vampire. The silence between them was palpable.
“You startled me,” Harry said, breaking their gaze and lowering his wand.
